History of the Village Hall

In 1885 the land and the old Malthouse Cottages were conveyed to the Rev Samler from The Brewery and from 1902 to 1973 these building were used as the Village School in Southstoke Parish. There are still some residents in the village who attended school there.

In 1974 the school buildings were conveyed to The Parish Council for use as a village Hall. Since then many regular activities  have occurred here helping to glue the village community together. These include The Produce Show, a regular Christmas Drinks Party, Summertime Cream Teas as well as being available for private hire for parties, family gatherings, art groups, choirs, Pilates and Yoga groups.
